The end of Jan means one thing...Chinese New Year. So if you are out in London, keep a lookout for dragons and firecrackers...

Plenty of events this week from New Year's Celebrations at Trafalgar and Greenwich peninsula to the London sewing museums monthly open day.

What's Interesting?

Six planets are set to align in the London night sky from January 25 and into February.

Four planets (Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn) are visible to the naked eye. Uranus and Neptune require a telescope or high-powered binoculars.

An incredible cutaway reconstruction of how the London Bridge looked like in 1590, where there were still houses there!

London Bridge was lined with houses, shops, and even a chapel.

The buildings, many of which were timber-framed, overhung the sides of the bridge, creating a bustling marketplace.

The narrowness of the bridge led to frequent conflicts as people and carts tried to cross in both directions.

These altercations were jokingly called the “London Bridge joust” by locals.
